Making Better Dishes From Home

About a year ago, I started thinking carefully about how I wanted the rest of my life to go. I realized that I was significantly overweight and that I wasn't able to do the types of things that I wanted to do. Instead of of living the rest of my life unhappy and overweight, I decided to start working on eating healthier by choosing better foods. I decided to invest some time into cooking and reading about ingredients, and it really paid off. This blog is all about making better dishes from home, and knowing how to avoid weight gain through healthy eating.

Understanding The Differences Between Donut Shop And Breakfast Blend Coffees

If you want a great cup of coffee in the morning in a hurry, then your Keurig machine can do the trick and get you your coffee within about a minute. When you are ready to make that first cup as you try to wake up, then you may have to decide between a donut shop blend and a breakfast blend. While the two coffees may sound the same, they are actually quite different. Keep reading to learn how they differ so you can make the right choice.

Donut Shop Coffee

There is something special about buying a cup of coffee from your local donut shop, and your k-cups do a good job of replicating the taste. Donut shops are known for selling simple and no frills coffee that can easily compliment a glazed donut. The coffee is bold, clean, and flavorful. However, you will not notice any subtle nutty or vanilla flavors. The coffee is just that, coffee.

Most donut shop coffees are made from arabica beans. The beans are grown in parts of the country that include Brazil and Ethiopia and they are also used to produce strong bends of espresso coffee. Arabica beans do have their own sugar and lipid content. This is one reason why most people find donut shop coffee so enjoyable.

If you want to consume the beverage in the morning, go light on the sugar since the coffee is already a bit sweet. A small amount of cream can be a good addition to the coffee. You also may want to drink a few cups of coffee instead of just one. Donut shop coffee typically has a moderate amount of caffeine when compared to some other types of coffee.

Breakfast Blend Coffee

Breakfast blend coffees often appear lighter in color than donut shop roasts. In fact, the coffee is usually a lighter roast than other types of coffee. The light roast means simply that the coffee beans were not roasted or processed as long as other types of coffee blends. Since roasting reduces the caffeine content of the coffee beans, light roasts actually contain more caffeine, even though they do not taste as strong.

Breakfast blends are a bit more acidic than donut shop blends due to the light roasting of the beans. This means that you may notice a more acidic taste and notice less of the fruit, cocoa, or berry, and nutty tastes that are more prevalent in full bodied coffees. However, if you want a jolt to wake you up in the morning, then a breakfast blend is a good choice. Reach out for more info.
